I saw recently on the Web a lot of videos showing System allowing motorcycles and scooters to hide their license plates, and thus avoid radar. You may also be seen on Bloguidon this video Italian quite explicit.

The phenomenon, which I thought to be isolated, seems quite widespread in Europe. Proof of this new Spanish video, showing an even more pernicious, because that does not conceal the plate, it transforms into a different number!

This system to "merit" not to arouse the suspicions of the Marechaussee (the vehicle has a plate), but it is not very "nice" to the true owner of the wrong number!

But I am even more surprised to find such a device for sale free (but with a lot of hypocrisy) on a French site accessories: www.motoligne.com

Far from me to make their ads (although I am aware that this is necessarily the case a bit ...), I am appalled by the press release accompanying the product. It is available on this page, and here is one of shock excerpt:

this is not provocation but simply to tell the state: Ok you invent new system to fly in the air our precious points and pocket the € uros, and we too can invent ways to counter your arsenal, without endorsing use the lift plate on open road.

I wish to remind the author of this text that is not placing themselves outside the law as it moves things forward. Quite the contrary.

Tuesday July 17 2007. First day of "good weather". I decide to go for an aperitif on the banks of the Canal St Martin. My bike is dégueu, covered with traces of projections due to all journeys in the rain I have done in recent weeks.
